Before the full game “Ashes of the Gods: Path” is released on April 28th, you can try its Prologue for free! The game tells the story of a young warrior who must infiltrate a neighboring country on the brink of war and succeed in a card game created to train aristocrats in warfare. If he can get close to the commanders, he may be able to prevent the war… somehow.

In the Prologue, you can fully complete the first act of the Berkan tournament: 6 qualifying battles, 5 adjutants to defeat, and one powerful champion. Each qualification and each adjutant have an additional challenging version of the battle for extra rewards! Create a winning deck of characters, equipment, and spells, and use them to conquer a series of carefully crafted trials. The full version of the game has four factions from which you can build your deck, and you can also acquire new cards! You will also learn how to upgrade your favorite cards in the Prologue.

As you progress through the story, you will meet new characters, and how you engage in dialogue can change the future. But success on the battlefield also matters: prepare well for battles with key characters, as you won’t have many chances before defeat alters the course of history – and the game continues regardless.

The core gameplay seems simple: each turn, you can play one character and support card, and then all your units will attack the enemy and deal damage – if they can! But the real challenge lies in choosing combinations, building your deck, and deciding which cards to hold onto for the right moment. These rules apply to your opponents as well… in most cases.
