Battlefield 6 is the first game in the series for 9th generation consoles. As of 2021, Battlefield 6 remains somewhat of a mystery, surrounded by many rumors. It is being developed by EA and its director, Andrew Wilson, says it will be a game of a fundamentally new generation that will provide large-scale and immersive battles in locations capable of accommodating a large number of gamers simultaneously. According to various sources, Battlefield 6 will feature multiple locations for up to 128 players, a modern setting, and a Battle Royale mode. The official release of Battlefield 6, according to EA, will take place in winter 2021.
Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker of Battlefield information, revealed that the events in Battlefield 6 will take place 10 years after the current date, allowing the game’s programmers and designers to implement all real modern weapons and ammunition (even those still in development today). Tom says that gamers can expect the inclusion of drones, jetpacks, tanks, helicopters, and other vehicles in Battlefield 6.
According to Henderson, players will also be able to choose their own path in Battlefield 6, either playing as America or Russia, with these two countries being the only superpowers in the game. Additionally, each player will be able to select a team of experts with different combat skills. In other words, Battlefield 6 is expected to be something like a “soft reboot” of Battlefield 3, but only time will tell how it will actually turn out.
